______________________________________ Blondie. Def: cute nickname for cute blondes
“Last night I spoke with a hot blondie until 4am… Oh the lovely dream I had”
The Blondies you`ll see in this issue are the ones that really matter: Girls that are beautiful, confident, sexy, smart, dangerous, dark and mysterious. They represent in some way the reason all “the good man” are getting into trouble and in love.
It`s summer all over, it doesn’t even mater if it`s raining outside right now. ISSUE #8 is a tribute to all the blondies out there. why? Do I really need to explain? Do you think that “blondes are more fun” is a cliche? Well it`s true, they are MORE FUN.
One thing is for sure, having all this different type of blondie girls in this issue wasn’t planed, it just turned that way, almost all the models we shoot for issue #8 happened to be blondies, at the end, we knew we had a theme “THE BLONDIE.” This are the kind of coincidences that keep us goin, It`s like all the artists, collaborators, musicians, make up artists, hair stylist, fashion designers, models, model agencies and photographers we feature are connected in a mystic way by this unstoppable editorial “idea” called //SLANG MAG.
So yeah… thank you all, thank you for the time you spend browsing our content, thank you to the record labels that let us share prime music with you my dear reader. Thank you to the fashion designers that have let us in on their fashion, Thank you to the world wide kick ass photographers collaborating with us, yes, we`re based in Colombia, but we live in the world and the time of the rising new talents is now. Thank you to the music (yes, another cliche, I know…) This issue features fresh music: talents in the electronic scene such as “The Silent H!” a special coverage of “Primavera Sound”, new sounds from Miami, mixing soul, soviet jazz and Hip-Hop. A house revival compilation directly from N.Y called “LOVE ME” and some Nu-Disco freshness by Opus label. The music of the summer, or at least the music we play!
On behalf of all the team of //SLANG MAG. I send you another huge thank you, we work our asses off to bring you exclusive content specially curated thinking on your visual pleasure.
Don`t be a stranger, if you see something that you like, give us your likes, share with your peeps our editorials. All the artists, models, musicians and the people invloved will apreciate it.
I`ll be dreaming with blondies until I find my pink hair beauty.
