It was pouring rain in Bogotá, people who live here get the idea of what we are talking about. One of those days that you just don’t want to get up. But of course, here at //SLANG MAG we said, WTF, road trip… What a great day for this special fashion editorial.
We always thought this editorial had to be different from some of the past work we’ve made, we wanted to do a photo-shoot outside, and a model that could take advantage of the location in a simple but stylish way. That’s when we realized that it could not be a model, it had to be an actress. Ximena Rodriguez is one of the most promising uprising talents of the country right now. She has shoot two films, a documentary for Discovery Channel and a TV show so far this year. She has worked in Spain, the UK and Colombia. We knew she could easily adapt to this environment. Ximena was perfect for this fashion editorial.
The idea was simple, Los Pinos is a Polo Club, and a friend of ours was playing a tournament, the perfect excuse to leave Bogotá. As we left the city the skies opened. A sunny perfect day, our friend won, and we had a fantastic shooting.
We had a special location that we wanted to shoot right for our readers. Our friends house has a window in the living room so that their favorite horse can hang out with them.
Its out of this world.
